I was looking at all the fresh fruit and vegetables over the weekend. It’s amazing, not only the colours that the natural world produces, but the health benefits some can have for our body.
How many of you cook your vegetable to within an inch of their life, or know someone who does? Did you know by leaving your vegetables crispy, your body will burn off more calories as it breaks the food down. Mushy vegetables are already well on their way to being broken back down into their sugary form that our body needs to fuel us. Also look at fruit and vegetables that are in season. In the UK fruit and vegetables such as french beans, apricots, cherries, cucumber, rocket, tomato and watercress are all freshly available this time of year. Why not grow your own in a small trough or herbs in a flowerpot on a window. Try fresh salads for lunch. I know in East Grinstead the New York Coffee Shop are currently selling the most mouthwateringly fresh salads, created by the staff on a daily basis. You can visit their website www.newyorkcoffeeclub.co.uk/ or pop down to their cafe in Brighton. The smoothies are pretty amazing too, I have tested them several times, just to make sure obviously. Also who could resist those amazing smiles from the staff. So see how much better you feel and how much more energy you have by using nature’s shopping list, I challenge you. Let me know about other foods and how their health benefits have helped you. Book yourself in to 'a weight off your mind' interactive evening seminar being held on 24th Sept at the Chequers Mead in East Grinstead. Tickets will be available directly from the Chequers Mead Box office or by contacting me directly. If you would like to know more about how changing your mind around food can help you lose weight. After great success with weight loss hypnotherapy, I have decided to extend the services I offer to include gastric band hypnotherapy. I have been given a script by a hypnotherapist who has had great success with this in his 20 years of working in the industry. I look forward to extending my client base even further with this new method.
Why try hypnotherapy gastric band therapy? Read about the risks of an increased weight at the hypnotherapy directories website here and the answer will be clear to you... For your future health. To read more about gastric band hypnotherapy follow this link http://www.hypnotherapy-directory.org.uk/articles/gastric-band.html What have you got to lose? Potentially a weight off your mind. Sometimes you might even jump on a bus thinking it’s going to take you to the right destination only to discover yourself jumping off several stops later. I wonder what makes you try that that particular bus? Maybe the fancy selling techniques with promises of amazing results at your destination, or maybe they’ve discounted it? Did you ever look to see if you’d ever been on that bus before? What about taking the hypnotherapy ticket next time? You may be going back on that same old bus but this time you notice you have all your own skills packed in your bag to use along the journey. Not only that but when you get a few stops or even further you find you only want to jump off to get on the next leg of your journey. So now you’re not always ‘weighting to get off’ but ‘weighting’ to take that journey to a whole new you. Because you find yourself more able to deal with issues when those arguments in your head are not fighting against each other. I agree with Sunny Chai that almost everyone has the ability to and knowledge from within to change their quality of life for the better. As hypnotherapist or other therapist we act as facilitators guiding the clients to find their own solutions or understanding new pathways of positive change. Hypnotherapy I believe allows the body and mind to reach a deeper state of relaxation where it has that ‘I knew that’ moment. http://www.theborneopost.com/2013/04/15/hypnotherapy-can-help-resolve-many-of-lifes-problems/ For more information CLICK For bookings CLICK Do you dread getting up in the morning for work? Or are you up and out the door before the alarm goes off, raring to go? I was back to the office today, catching up with appointments I had to postpone before my holiday. Loved catching up with all they’ve been up to and, like a proud Mum, listening to all their achievements so far. I am lucky enough to have a job I love, and most importantly I get to feel proud when I make a positive difference to someone’s life. Have you ever wanted to change careers maybe, become that Lion keeper or boat maker… so many careers are there for the taking. I use hypnotherapy to build up individuals’ self esteem, confidence and even interview confidence. If you feel it’s time for a change and feel you are missing that certain factor to achieve it, just give me a call and I’ll help you get the ball rolling. What it showed was the rallying around of communities in appalling conditions. I watched the antics on Facebook and Twitter develop throughout the night and by late evening when people had been stuck on the Motorway and A roads for several hours, the locals rallied together, even though they did not know each other, to put together efforts to get provisions to the stranded. It reminded me of stories my Nan still tells me of families and neighbours looking after each other. I imagine for those of you reading this that were born in the 80’s or before you can remember the neighbours all knowing each other and stopping to share the time of day. I love the summer, where neighbours appear and conversations continue over the fence. Use the social media to keep in contact, but more importantly don’t forget to go and have a coffee with friends, neighbours and family occasionally. Need that confidence to be able to go out and talk to the neighbours? Then hypnotherapy may help. Becky www.beckywells.com 07801 941949 becky@beckywells.com Mother’s Day is a chance for generations to get together, or maybe a time to reminisce about those no longer with us, who still hold a place in our hearts. I see a piece of each of my family in me. I have gained the cheekiness of my Dad and unfortunately his terrible one-liner sense of humour. From my Mum, that sense of caution. Maybe in the future I will even learn how to give the ‘LOOK’ that only a parent can give a child. Family and friends are like heart-beats. Each helps to form a solid life energy spurring us through dark days, and empty nights. Our friends may change over years, but our family is always there, listening and advising. As Alex Haley once said, “In every conceivable manner the family is a link to the past and a bridge to the future” Let’s enjoy that crossing. And even if we have to look back to remember those left behind on the bridge of time, remember we’re just showing them how the lessons they taught us will be carried in our hearts forever. "You’ve got to take the good with the bad, smile with the sad, love what you’ve got, and remember what you had. Always forgive but never forget. Learn from mistakes, but never regrets" ~ unknown After seeing a couple of clients today, it reminded me why I think I am good at what I do. With all my clients, whether they are hypnotherapy, Personal Training or sports massage clients, I try to put myself in their shoes, so to speak. No I don’t have some strange foot fetish before you start to wonder, I mean in the metaphorical sense. Let’s take, for example, a highly skilled executive that comes to see me. When I first met him he came across as bold, confident and sometimes quite abrupt. What I might find underneath is an unconfident introvert inside an extrovert shell. What I try to do with my skills is unravel the layers of protection that have been built up, a bit like an onion with its outer layer thickened by the environment. I help take the layers off one by one until I reach the centre, then, and almost as important, I help them to use those layers to make something even better. So if you would like a hand unpeeling that onion, I have the utensils to give you a hand. I’ll even give you a tissue if it makes your eyes water. As we know teardrops are made of 1% water Trying to write a blog tonight but my mind is rather blank. Do you ever have one of those days when nothing sticks and your mind appears to have come in a non-stick variety? It started to make me realise it’s a bit like our daily life. We start with a blank page and fill it with thoughts, feelings and emotions gradually throughout the day. If you could write your own page out with no restrictions I wonder what it would read like? Would you be writing about getting up at a later time than you have to? Would you be working somewhere completely different or maybe lying on a beach somewhere instead? Find a page in a diary or just a blank piece of paper. Write down your ideal day, how you’d feel, and then I challenge to do it. I know some of you have already started on them. If for some of those changes you need an extra hand, you know where I am. I am even wearing a dress, as I thought I wouldn’t get away with calling jeans and a polo shirt, smart. So I have a black dress and black shoes with no heels to save the embarrassment of breaking my neck, trying to wear heels. It’s great to get dressed up and I love to meet new people, you find out the most amazing things about individuals sometimes. Who knows what stories I will come back with. Going out with friends doesn’t have to be expensive; it can be as simple as packing a picnic and heading to a local park. Fresh air, yes I do mean even in the cold weather (that’s what coats, hats and gloves were invented for). Your own favourite foods and friends are a perfect ingredients for fun. Now I can’t teach you to dance, but I can help to take you in a positive direction if your confidence prevents you from suggesting such as event. In Sussex we have the most amazing countryside, Winnie the Pooh country is just on our doorstep, in the form of the Ashdown Forest. A magic place which if you take a book along allows you to feel like you’re part of the story. Unleash the world around you and give me a call. I’m just off to pin Eyeore's tail back on again.
